#FoodTruckWeds – Come Feed Your Face

We’re always looking for new and interesting things to host at DC on Film Row – wedding showers, corporate meetings, civic events, and good old fashioned cookouts.

While we’re not a restaurant – we certainly enjoy stuffing our faces with good food and basking in the sunshine in the middle of what can become a long work week.  Putting two and two together – and with an assist of inspiration from the folks over at OMRF – we’ve decided to start #foodtruckweds.

August Premiere on Film Row

Mike Jones - MJ7D2945The August Premiere on Film Row (filmrowokc on both Twitter and Facebook) has come and gone – but what a beautiful way to celebrate the month.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous and it felt like it was a San Diego evening on the beach. It was – by far – the busiest #premiereokc event that Film Row has had this year.  The DC on Film Row patio and courtyard Mike Jones - MJ7D2940were packed. I am sure many folks were lulled into the space by the sweet sounds of The Howard Brady Band – one of OKC’s most rockin bands.

We were also extremely lucky to be able to show artwork by the talented Theresa Hurt and Cindy Cornish – they brightened up the courtyard and gave everyone something to discuss.

Mike Jones - MJ7D2939We were also extremely lucky to have Mike Jones – from OKC’s City Manager’s Office and the creative director at Scissortail Creative stop by and put his creative photography abilities to work.  All of the images on this post were taken by Mike (in his capacity with the OKC City Manager’s Office) and we are pleased to be able to use the images here.  Thanks Mike and OKC!

The Premiere event will be held every month on the third Friday. It is extremely family friendly and we hope everyone in OKC will stop by each month – make sure you say hello to Julie Oseland and give her a Mike Jones - MJ7D2938high-five.  We couldn’t do it each month without her.

A little music from The Howard Brady Band to bring back memories of Friday night or to entice you to stop by the next time they play in OKC.

What We Believe

So – what’s the deal? Why did we create DC on Film Row?

While we could probably write 10,000 words on the subject – it’s doubtful that you would want to read it.

Fortunately for all of us, the awesome folks over at Indian Head Pictures put together a fantastic video that explains our goals – and hopes – in building DC on Film Row. Have a look and let us know what you think.  We love feedback.
